Area Information : Stourport-on-Severn is a lovely town benefitting from the River Severn, the River Stour and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. Presently the basins joining the canal to the river Severn are being developed and are being nominated as a World Heritage Site which is generating much interest in the local area. Stourport makes a great base to explore the Wyre Forest Area and the Heart of England; with the Severn Valley Railway and West Midlands Safari Park just 3 miles away, the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre show casing one of the most enviromentally important forests in Europe 3 miles away. Bewdley is easily accessible from here as is Kidderminster and Worcester.
